The San Francisco 49ers have discovered that they won't be able to play their remaining home games at Levi Stadium due to COVID-19 restrictions. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the 49ers are likely to play the rest of their home games in Arizona.

Santa Clara County just recently announced new COVID-19 restrictions in place with cases spiking across the country. The new restrictions banned all contact sports and mandated a 14-day quarantine for anyone traveling from over 150 miles away.

As a result, the 49ers are forced to find somewhere else to conduct the rest of their home contests this season. While San Francisco travels to take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12, there are still home games against the Buffalo Bills, the Washington Football Team, and the Seattle Seahawks remaining on the schedule.

Furthermore, the 49ers' next home game is scheduled to take place in Week 13 against the Bills. Given that, San Francisco has to act fast on finding a new temporary venue for these home games to finish the season.

After mulling over their options, the 49ers have their sights on playing their home games in Arizona at State Farm Stadium. Of course, the Arizona Cardinals play there, so they would both have to configure their games around one another.

Besides Arizona, Rapoport reports Texas is also an option, with the team still figuring out where they are going to practice too. Regardless of where San Francisco chooses to play, expect them to announce a decision in the coming days.
