The San Francisco 49ers and Deebo Samuel didn't waste any time getting on the board on Sunday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams.

In the first drive of the game, Jimmy Garoppolo drove the team down the field, finishing it off with a six-yard pitch jet sweep to Deebo Samuel for the touchdown.

The 49ers know they are in a battle against the Rams tonight, fighting for their playoff lives. The 49ers are currently 2-3 through the first five weeks of the season and are last in the NFC West, behind the surprising Arizona Cardinals, who have started the season 3-2. the Rams are 4-1 thus far, and with how strong the NFC West has been thus far even a team over .500 is at risk of missing the playoffs in the division. Getting on the board early will help, but especially without their top defensive player in Nick Bosa they will still have to rely on the offense to keep them in the game. This is Garoppolo's second game back after being injured in Week 2.
