In a barn burner in the Superdome, the San Francisco 49ers defeated the New Orleans Saints 48-46 on a game-winning field goal from Robbie Gould. San Francisco's field goal was set up by a drive launched into field-goal range thanks to a star tight end George Kittle willing his way through New Orleans' secondary despite an obvious face mask (via NFL).

Kittle, a 26-year-old one-time Pro-Bowler, has been a huge factor for the Niners' success on offense this season, tallying 687 yards, 54 receptions, and three touchdowns in 2019 in 10 games entering Sunday.

After defeating the Saints, the Bay Area franchise is now 11-2 and trying to capitalize in the NFC playoff standings despite a divisional defeat to the Seattle Seahawks, which pushed them into the Wild Card lead instead of a would-be home game and potential bye.

Kittle amassed 67 yards on six receptions along with a touchdown reception in today's victory.
