San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin received a big payday this offseason as he landed a three-year, $20 million deal following a breakout 2017 season. And now, Goodwin has made use of some of that money to give back to his family.

Goodwin bought a new house for his mother, Tamina, and disabled sister, Deja, and posted the emotional unveiling on Instagram.

Goodwin has said in the past that he has drawn inspiration and motivation from his sister, who is 10 months older and suffers from cerebral palsy.

“If Deja wasn't my sister, I feel like I would still be motivated but not in the way that I am today,” Goodwin told ESPN in 2013. “Having a disabled sister, that's a lot more motivation, especially when she tells you growing up that she wishes she can be out there with the kids playing and she wishes she can be out there running around.”

Goodwin, who signed with San Francisco last season after spending his first four years with the Buffalo Bills, had a terrific year in his first campaign with the Niners. He set new career-highs in catches (56) and receiving yards (962), both of which led the team by a wide margin. Meanwhile, his 17.2 yards per catch was good for third in the league.

He quickly formed a connection with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo as evidenced by the fact that two of his three 100-yard games came after Jimmy G took over as the starter.

Goodwin will once again be expected to be a key member of the Niners’ receiving corps which also features Pierre Garcon, Aldrick Robinson, Trent Taylor, and rookie Dante Pettis.
