San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert began Sunday's game against the New York Jets with a bang.

Raheem Mostert took a pitch out right from Jimmy Garoppolo, promptly scampering 80 yards for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage to give the Niners an early lead.

Raheem Mostert reached a top speed of 23.1 miles per hour on the run, the fastest run of any player in the last two years.

It would appear Raheem Mostert is in line for another big game after an excellent performance in Week 1.

The 26-year-old rushed for 56 yards and also had four receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown in Week 1. All indications are Raheem Mostert could finish with more total yards against the Jets.

Raheem Mostert had an eventful offseason, one in which he demanded a trade before earning a contract extension. He was primed to be the leading rusher in San Francisco's committee look, and is making an early statement to be the feature back.
