San Francisco 49ers place kicker Robbie Gould was at it once again on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles. Thanks to Gould's seemingly automatic leg, the 49ers were able to upset the rival Los Angeles Rams on the road while also knocking the opposition out of first place in the NFC West division.

With Gould booting the football through the uprights as time expired in the Week 12 clash of foes, the 49ers edged the Rams by the score of 23-20. The 49ers are now a nearly even 5-6 on the season with the once surging Rams, who will need to do some more work in order to secure the team's place in the postseason, now sitting at 7-4.

With the Rams at 7-4 and the 7-3 Seattle Seahawks set to play in Week 12, as the always dangerous franchise is currently gearing up to play the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday evening, Los Angeles has officially fallen into second place in the standings. It is also worth noting that the Arizona Cardinals are in third place in the NFC West at 6-5 after losing to the inconsistent New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon.

Although the 49ers technically sit in last place in the NFC West, San Francisco definitely isn't dead just yet.
