The Utah Jazz are coming off of a disappointing playoff exit, falling to the LA Clippers in the second round after finishing with the conference's best record. They led the series 2-0 but proceeded to lose 4 straight games even after Kawhi Leonard went down to injury. With the Western Conference having even more talent, the Jazz need to add great role players in 2021 NBA free agency.

The Jazz have a lot of work to do in free agency. They were able to re-sign All-Star guard Mike Conley to a three-year deal. This is great news for Utah, but the Western Conference has become even tougher with star guard Russell Westbrook joining the Los Angeles Lakers. Look for the Jazz to make some underrated moves to add to the roster.

Here are the 5 best players the Jazz must sign in the 2021 NBA free agency.

5. Center Bismack Biyombo

This free agency period will be all about adding role players to elevate the team. Biyombo could be a solid backup center for the Jazz behind star Rudy Gobert.

Last season, Biyombo averaged 5 points per game along with 5.3 rebounds. Biyombo also showed his defensive skills by getting 1.1 blocks per game in 20 minutes per game.

If the Jazz can bring in Biyombo, they will be getting an upgrade at backup center.

4. Center JaVale McGee

While Biyombo would be a solid pickup, JaVale McGee would be better. McGee has shown the ability to be a great role player on championship teams. He is a 3-time champion that always plays his role effectively.

Last season, McGee averaged 7.3 points per game along with 5.2 rebounds. He also averaged 1.2 blocks per game in only 14.7 minutes.

If the Jazz can add McGee, they will have a quality backup center.

3. Forward Rudy Gay

One of the most coveted wings by contending teams is Rudy Gay. The Lakers reportedly have mutual interest with Gay, but the Jazz need to make him an offer. They are in desperate need of adding more wing depth and Gay would be a great fit.

Last season, Gay averaged 11.4 points per game and 4.8 rebounds. He also shot an efficient 38.1 percent from behind the arc. Gay would be a great addition for the Jazz if they can bring him in.

2. Forward Otto Porter

While Gay would be a great player to bring in, Otto Porter would be the ideal wing to sign. He is a younger wing with more versatility, both offensively and defensively.

Last season, Porter averaged 9.7 points per game and 5.4 rebounds. He has also been a great three-point shooter throughout his career at 40.2 percent. Porter would add spacing and defensive versatility off the bench and would simply be a great role player to bring in.

1. Forward/Center Bobby Portis

One of the best role players in the NBA last season was Bobby Portis. Portis was vital on the Milwaukee Bucks' championship run and is expected to receive a ton of interest in free agency.

Last season, Portis averaged 11.4 points per game along with 7.1 rebounds. He also shot an unreal percentage from three at 47.1 percent. Portis plays every night with intensity and effort, which gives a boost to teammates around him. He would help them stretch the floor even more and could be great in a 6th-man role.

If the Jazz can sign Portis, they will be getting one of the NBA's best role players.

The Jazz have a lot of decisions to make, which will impact their level of success next season.
