In the vaunted history of the NFL's Green Bay Packers, many quarterbacks have come and gone through legendary Lambeau Field. Chief among them include several Super Bowl champions and MVP winners, like current star Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers is definitely not the only legend to don a Packers uniform and lead the offense to glory, though.

Here are the best quarterbacks in Packers history.

5. Don Majkowski (1987-92)

The Packers selected Virginia's Don Majkowski with the 255th overall pick in the 1987 NFL Draft. Unfortunately for Majkowski and Green Bay, the signal-caller competed during the Packers' lean years.

Majkowski, in six seasons under center in Green Bay, never once competed in the postseason, as they only had two winning seasons with him as the starter. A one-time Pro Bowler, Majkowski totaled over 10,000 passing yards in 68 games with the Packers, tossing 56 touchdowns and going 22-26-1.

4. Lynn Dickey (1976-85)

Majkowski was Lynn Dickey's replacement after the Packers only won four games in the interim between the two quarterbacks. Dickey, who arrived via trade from the Houston Oilers in 1976, missed much time with leg injuries. But by the 1980s, he grew into the starting role for the Packers.

Dickey eventually took the Green Bay to the playoffs during the strike-shortened 1982 season, losing in the divisional round while Bart Starr roamed the sidelines as head coach.

In nine seasons, Dickey went 43-56-2 in the regular season. Additionally, he threw over 21,000 passing yards for 133 touchdowns and 151 interceptions.

3. Aaron Rodgers (2005–present)

There is a strong argument for Rodgers easily being the “best” quarterback on this list simply by metrics and performance, but the 36-year-old has yet to retire and has fewer accomplishments than the next two Hall of Famers.

A surefire future Hall of Famer himself, Rodgers joined the Packers as the 24th overall pick of the 2005 NFL Draft out of California. Rodgers, notably, had to sit and back up star gunslinger Brett Favre during the champion's waning years in football (in Green Bay, at least).

Rodgers stepped into his own officially as the starter during the 2008 season, never looking back. In his time under center for Green Bay, the cheesehead franchise only suffered two losing seasons in 12 years. Most recently, Rodgers took the Packers to the NFC Championship Game in 2019-20.

The Packers, of course, won Super Bowl Super Bowl XLV over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Feb. 2011, with Rodgers named MVP. That will be Rodgers' legacy, along with two league MVP's — unless the veteran can muster another Super Bowl victory before leaving the game.

2. Bart Starr (1956-71)

The Packers are truly blessed with years of top quarterback talent. Bart Starr had one of the longest and most accomplished playing careers with Green Bay, winning championships before the AFL-NFL merger and leading the Packers into the new Super Bowl era with aplomb.

The Hall of Fame quarterback was a three-time NFL Championship winner with the Packers and, iconically, led Green Bay to the first two Super Bowl wins in the game's history, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders.

After the second Super Bowl win, Green Bay had a tougher time in the merged league. By his retirement, Starr was a four-time Pro Bowler, five-time champion, one-time league MVP and one of the biggest names to ever play for the Packers and in football. Starr went 94-57-6 with the Packers, throwing nearly 25,000 passing yards and 152 touchdowns.

1. Brett Favre (1992-2007)

The mix of talent and achievements makes this admittedly difficult choice point to Brett Favre earning the No. 1 spot on the list of the best Packers quarterbacks of all time.

Favre, traded to the Packers by the Falcons after one year with Atlanta, turned into a star with Green Bay and put the team back on the map after just two postseason appearances in the quarter-century since the Packers' Super Bowl II win. Favre and the Packers went to the playoffs in 11 of the 16 seasons he played at Lambeau, winning Super Bowl XXXI over the New England Patriots and losing the next year to the Denver Broncos.

Favre went 160-93 with the Packers, throwing a franchise-best 61,655 passing yards and 442 touchdowns. A Hall of Fame inductee in 2016, Favre was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection with the Packers, winning three MVP awards in his esteemed career.
