The Milwaukee Bucks franchise has been around since 1968. The organization, like every sports team in the world, has had some great and down moments over the course of its rich history.

With that said, let's take a look at the five greatest moments that bannered a plethora of Bucks news throughout the team's history.

5. Brandon Jennings scores 55 points against Golden State Warriors

On November 14, 2009, Brandon Jennings torched the Golden State Warriors for a career-high 55 points. The lefty also led the Bucks to a 129-125 win.

Jennings shot 21-of-34 from the field, 7-of-8 from beyond the arc, and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line on that magical night.

The Bradley Center, the Bucks' old stadium, was going crazy all night long while Jennings was destroying Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis.

4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar wins back-to-back MVPs

The greatest scorer in NBA history, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar won the MVP Award in 1971 and 1972. The Hall of Famer averaged 31.7 points, 16.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game in '71. He also tallied 34.8 points, 16.6 boards, and 4.6 assists per contest in '72.

Abdul-Jabbar played 467 games for the Bucks. He averaged 30.4 points and 15.3 rebounds. Kareem won one championship with Milwaukee in 1971. He was Finals MVP after averaging 27.0 points, 18.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.

3. Giannis Antetokounmpo notches 44 points for late father

On Oct. 21, 2017, against the Portland Trail Blazers, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 44 points for the Bucks and led Milwaukee to a comeback win over the Blazers.

With Milwaukee trailing by one, Antetokounmpo used his length to knock the ball away from Blazers guard CJ McCollum. Then with one long dribble, the Bucks superstar took it coast-to-coast for the dunk to give his team the lead.

Then on the next possession, Antetokounmpo blocked Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic to seal the win for the Bucks.

Antetokounmpo received the game ball and he wrote a heartwarming message for his late dad that read, “This is for Daddy. We got a win tonight. I had 44 points.”

It was a very emotional and heartwarming moment for everyone in Milwaukee.

2. Giannis Antetokounmpo wins MVP, gives emotional speech

The 2018-19 Bucks won 60 games and finished with the best record in the NBA. Giannis put up 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game while shooting 57.8 percent from the floor and 72.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Antetokounmpo won the MVP Award in grand fashion at the NBA Awards show. He also gave a moving and emotional speech.

It was very similar to the speeches that Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant gave to their moms when they won the MVP Award.

1. 1970-71 Bucks win NBA title

Led by Oscar Robertson and Abdul-Jabbar, the 1970-71 Bucks won the championship over the Baltimore Bullets. They are the only team in franchise history to win it all.

The 1970-71 Bucks won 66 games during the regular season. They led the league in scoring at 118.4 points per game and were third in opponent points per game, as the team gave up only 106.2 points a night that season.

The Bucks also had the best offensive and defensive rating. This club had no flaws on either side of the ball. When you have Robertson and Abdul-Jabbar leading the way, your team is going to be elite.

Robertson put up 19.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game that season. As we already mentioned, Kareem won the 1970-71 regular-season MVP award. He averaged 31.7 points and 16.0 rebounds per game for Milwaukee while shooting 57.7 percent from the field.

The 1971 NBA Finals between the Bucks and Washington Bullets was never a fair fight. Milwaukee swept Washington to capture the title, with Abdul-Jabbar getting Finals MVP. The club is still celebrated today in Milwaukee since fans will always appreciate what that team did for the city and franchise.
