The NFL season is just around the corner and it's time to evaluate the top five undervalued fantasy football wide receivers for this year. The wide receiver position is relatively deep for fantasy football right now, as a handful of impressive pass catchers are going late or undrafted.

When it comes to finding value in your fantasy drafts, you're searching for a player who has the potential to outperform their rankings by a drastic measure. There is no guarantee, but some of these receivers are in a great situation on their respective teams. This increases the chances of finding some of the top fantasy football ADP values late in the draft. Finding a steal is essential for a successful fantasy season, as it can set you up with a surprise producer, or give you a nice trade asset to improve your roster.

Selecting superstar talent is always necessary, but finding those late-round sleeper picks can give you a massive edge to start the season. Target some of these receivers and you could be walking away with the steal of your draft. With that said, here are five undervalued fantasy football wide receivers.

5. Marvin Jones Jr.

The Jacksonville Jaguars likely won't make the playoffs, but they should produce a few fantasy football assets. With much of the attention on Laviska Shenault and DJ Chark in the Jaguars' receiver room, many have allowed Marvin Jones Jr. to go unnoticed. Jones has been a steady receiver throughout his career, making him one of the underrated fantasy football wide receivers. He's being drafted in round 10 or later, which means he's one of the top fantasy football ADP values.

4. Bryan Edwards

The Las Vegas Raiders have plenty of talent on the roster to make some noise this year. Darren Waller is obviously the top fantasy asset on this team, while the wide receivers are virtually ignored. However, Bryan Edwards has been making strides in his development, which makes him a nice value late in fantasy drafts. He's typically being taken near the final round or going undrafted. For that reason, Edwards has the potential to be a league-winning waiver wire addition in the middle of the season.

3. Jakobi Meyers

It's been a busy offseason for the New England Patriots after bringing in a plethora of talent on the offensive side of the ball. Jakobi Meyers provided flex-worthy fantasy production last year after serving as the best receiver on the team. However, after the front office brought in Nelson Agholor, Jonnu Smith, and Hunter Henry, many have faded Meyers altogether. Even so, Meyers has been lighting it up throughout training camp and looks like the most consistent target in the wide receiver room. For that reason, Jakobi Meyers makes the list of undervalued fantasy football wide receivers.

2. Darnell Mooney

There is a ton of hype brewing in the Windy City after the Chicago Bears selected Justin Fields in the NFL Draft. That excitement has continued throughout training camp and the preseason with the emergence of Darnell Mooney. He's a crisp route runner who has a knack for getting open and with better quarterback play, Moony has the potential to become an elite fantasy option. Head coach Matt Nagy is hellbent on starting Andy Dalton at quarterback though, which means Mooney might not burst onto the scene until Fields takes over as the starter. Be patient with Mooney as he could become a league winner, making him one of the most undervalued fantasy football wide receivers this year.

1. Marquez Callaway

Marquez Callaway looked impressive in the New Orleans Saints preseason game against the Jaguars. With Michael Thomas out for (at least) the first portion of the season, Callaway has earned a starting role in the Saints offense. In fact, he's outplayed Tre'Quan Smith who was originally believed to take over the top spot on the roster with Thomas out of the equation. Instead, Callaway has been balling out and looks to be a solid fantasy option right out of the gate. Even though he's going to be the WR1 in New Orleans, Callaway is still being taken as a late-round flier. Selecting a starting wide receiver that late in a draft makes Callaway one of the top fantasy football ADP values.
