A game-breaking glitch allows twice the number of players for Destiny 2 raids. Surprisingly, the players rolled with the discovered glitch and enjoy every moment with it. Raids normally only allow up to six players but the glitch allows players to finagle their way into 12-player raids. Bungie designed raids to be challenging with its intended player count meaning the glitch throws everything out the window. It turns out that player enjoyment unexpectedly shoots through the roof when glitches such as these allow players to just have fun with a beloved title.

A DOZEN WAYS TO RAID

Players need to be in two full teams of six in order for the raid glitch to work. The second team simply joins the first squad when the launch timer gets down to “0:02.” The glitch requires careful coordination and practice but with enough practice, players can overwhelm their enemies with sheer numbers. Understandably, payers reported frame drops when all twelve players go full throttle on enemies.

Bungie is aware of the glitch and of how much enjoyment it's bringing to the player base. The company's Senior Community Manager simply tweeted a “Twelve what now” message when the glitch was first discovered.

Fan response to the glitch has been mixed across social media. Several players grew attached to the hilarious exploit while others questioned its fairness. Undoubtedly, allowing twelve people in a quest meant for six is beyond fair but the players are having fun. Above all, games should be able to deliver enjoyable experiences to the players.
