ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter took to Twitter during the Monday Night Football to troll Mark Sanchez during the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins.

Sanchez made an unexpected appearance for the Redskins in the contest after starting quarterback Colt McCoy left due to injury.

And naturally, that led to plenty of comments on social media about Sanchez leading the way for his sixth NFL team.

But it was Schefter that may have delivered the best line yet.

Sanchez has the Redskins within a point at halftime after Adrian Peterson zoomed past the Eagles' defense for a 90-yard touchdown run.

That's a fine start for Sanchez in his return under his center, but the second half will likely determine whether or not he's the subject of more entertaining comments in the social media world.

Of course, Sanchez was on the opposite side of this particular NFC East showdown several years ago when he played for the Eagles. Since then, he's had short work with the Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, and Chicago Bears.

The best performances of his career came early on during his tenure with the New York Jets, as he led the team to a few playoff appearances before being released by the franchise following the 2013 season.
