ESPN's Adam Schefter is typically the man reporting the news. However, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk recently posted an article in reference to Schefter. In the article, Florio writes that ESPN employees have felt Schefter is not sensitive enough towards domestic violence situations. Anonymous ESPN employees issued the following statement in regards to Schefter's reporting on Deshaun Watson and Dalvin Cook.

“(Schefter's reporting) reflected a failure to understand the sensitivity of domestic violence allegations.”

The narrative is that Schefter “carries water” for NFL personnel. In other words, some believe that Schefter shares specific information in order to receive something back in the future. Schefter denied that narrative.

“I’ve never put out information thinking I would get something back in the future. If people want to work with me, great. If not, OK.”

And that comment sent Florio off. The Pro Football Talk writer shared a brutally honest opinion on Adam Schefter.

“Sorry, but that’s just not true,” Florio writes. “It’s not. He periodically takes one for the team because it serves the greater good of fueling his Twitter nuclear reactor. He’ll tolerate the periodic meltdown, as long as it keeps the lights on. And, yes, it’s unmistakable to the trained eye when he posts a quid pro quo tweet.

He goes on to explain how Schefter cares most about being the first person to report on news. This is not the first time Schefter has been called out. Players have taken issue with his reporting in the past.

This is an interesting story. Schefter is a well-known ESPN reporter who has reached the peak of his craft. But perhaps Florio has a point. Schefter has yet to respond to Florio.
