Bryan Danielson hasn't had the best luck as of late. From getting his leg stuck on the entrance ramp at the end of Rampage on May 18th, to being literally choked out by Jake Hager with a ring rope during Anarchy in the Arena, the wrestler formerly known as Daniel Bryan has been taking it on the chin in AEW since his program with Adam Page earlier this spring.

And now, well, fans can count out a run at the AEW Interim World Championship title too, as Danielson is expected to be sidelined for the next few weeks.

After missing a scheduled meet and greet because he was “unable to fly,” Wrestling Observer reported that Danielson is expected to miss the next “1-2 weeks.”

What, unfortunately, falls in that 1-2 week timeframe? That's right, the Battle Royal scheduled for Wednesday's episode of Dynamite. That's right, unless his prognosis changes in a hurry, fans won't be treated to the “American Dragon” duking it out with the best talent AEW has to offer, or a rematch with his Blackpool Combat Club partner John Moxey, should he make it out of the Battle Royal.

Considering the duo put on an absolute clinic at Full Gear, the real losers in this situation are fans of wrestling, Bryan Danielson included.

Considering how injuries have ravaged the professional wrestling world as of late, with Cody Rhodes and Adam Cole both going on the shelf this week alone, it's unfortunate to see Danielson etch his name onto the least desirable list in the sport too, even on a short-term basis.
