The long wait is over. CM Punk is back. The smooth-talking wrestling icon made his triumphant return to the ring after weeks of rumblings surrounding a deal with All Elite Wrestling.

It's only fitting since CM Punk made his AEW debut in Chicago that he paid homage to another legend who was known for coming back from a retirement – Bulls legend Michael Jordan. Check out this epic faux-fax announcement that takes a page out of MJ's book.

Safe to say he didn't disappoint, either. Check out CM Punk's AEW debut that had fans going nuts. Not only did he bring the brash, cocky persona that wrestling fans missed, but he also got everyone some free ice cream on their way out.

CM Punk's return to wrestling with AEW marks the end of a lengthy seven-year hiatus. He was widely known to be unhappy during his latter stint with the WWE, which was highlighted by his infamous rant with a live mic on WWE Raw back in 2011. Though he would stay on with the company afterwards, CM Punk would eventually depart in 2014.

Now with AEW on the rise, CM Punk was given an opportunity to return to mainstream wrestling while still dodging the WWE. It can only get better from here.
