The AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door main event between Jon Moxley and Hiroshi Tanahashi was one hell of a match. The two wrestlers put on a bloody good show in front of the fans. However, it seemed like two fans decided they wanted their own mini-match during the main event.

During the Moxley-Tanahashi main event, fans in attendance noted on Twitter that two men were brawling in the stands. AEW security had to escort the two out of the arena, but not before one of them threw punches at the security officials. A fan with the Twitter name Nick Hausman caught the incident and shared it on the app.

No word on any other details surrounding these fans have been released as of the time of writing.

The Forbidden Door pay-per-view by AEW was one of the most momentous events in wrestling this year. The promotion teamed up with New Japan Pro Wrestling and brought some of the best Japanese talents on American soil to show off their wares. NJPW even got their fair share of wins against the “home” wrestlers.

The Moxley-Tanahashi main event was for the interim AEW World Championship belt. With CM Punk not dropping his belt, it will be interesting to see the eventual build-up between these two talented wrestlers. Until then, though, Moxley will be holding the interim title (perhaps all the way to the Blood and Guts pay-per-view?).

Here's to hoping that more collaborations like this between promotions happen in the future. Hopefully, this venture by AEW paves the way for a new era of promotions working with each other and bringing seemingly-impossible match ideas to life.
