Two new matches have been made official for the AEW and NJPW pay-per-view Forbidden Door.

According to Fightful, New Japan's Will Ospreay will take on returning AEW star Orange Cassidy at the show. Ospreay recently defeated SANADA at NJPW Dominion at Osaka Jo Hall to win the vacated IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship. Cassidy, meanwhile, returned to AEW television for the first time since AEW's Revolution pay-per-view.

Cassidy confronted Ospreay after his United Empire stablemates rushed the ring to attack Roppongi Vice and FTR. Ospreay defeated FTR's Dax Harwood in singles action on Dynamite.

Also official for Forbidden Door is Toni Storm versus Thunder Rosa (c) for the AEW Women's World Championship. Storm first entered herself into the title picture last week. The 26-year-old assisted Rosa after the champion was attacked by Marina Shafir. Shafir had been on the losing end of an AEW title match prior to the assault.

On this week's Dynamite, Storm defeated the former champion, Dr. Britt Baker DMD. Rosa came out after the match and the two stared each other down.

Forbidden Door already promises a highly anticipated card. Jon Moxley vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi for the interim AEW World Championship main event's the show. Also announced for the PPV was Chris Jericho, Minoru Suzuki, and Sammy Guevara against the team of Wheeler Yuta, Shota Umino, and Eddie Kingston.

There has also been speculation that the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, currently held by NJPW's Jay White, will also be defended at Forbidden Door. White defeated Kazuchika Okada at NJPW Dominion to claim the title.
