By Adam Page's own admission, he didn't take into account that Kazuchika Okada, the then-IWGP World Champion he called out on the previous week's episode of AEW Dynamite, could have lost the belt before Forbidden Door. He's been out of New Japan Pro Wrestling for quite some time now, and, despite being very online, he didn't think to check his calendar to see a match scheduled between Jay White and his hopeful foe at NJPW Dominion.

That miscalculation clearly backfired, as White ultimately did pull out the win, but that wasn't the biggest blow Page suffered in front of the crowd assembled in St. Louis. No, the biggest blow Page suffered was from none other than White himself, who, after being summoned by Adam Cole, delivered a Blade Runner to cement the cowboy to the canvas for the remainder of the segment.

But even that wasn't the biggest blow Page suffered in the Dynamite ring. No, the true hurt came from White's words, as he officially announced that neither Adams, Page, or Cole would get the honor of his opposition at Forbidden Door, instead leaving his preferred foe, who he apparently gets to keep because of his status as NJPW's champion, very much up in the air.

Could it be Kenny Omega? How about… okay, it's Kenny Omega, right? The man he kicked out of Bullet Club to become its leader? The man he took the IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion from before Omega turned his sights to the top prize in the promotion?

Keep your eyes peeled on AEW Dynamite and Rampage, folks, this has the potential to be incredibly good.
