AEW has a lot of things going for it as a promotion: A deep roster – despite numerous injuries currently plaguing them – generally good to great to incredible in-ring work, and of course, a solid music department.

While yes, Chris Jericho’s “Judas” will always get entire arenas singing the verse and chorus, and Tony Khan isn’t afraid to reach into his pockets and get the rights to quintessential tracks by artists like Pixies, Baltimora, and X for Orange Cassidy, Jungle Boy, and Jon Moxley respectively, AEW’s Music Producer Mikey Rukus is an absolute MVP for the promotion.

Rukus brings a lot of high-energy to his work, and is able to really elevate the entrances of AEW’s talent. From the extremely successful second theme of FTR, to his live performance of “Zero Miedo” at All Out 2021, to fantastic music for wrestlers like Thunder Rosa, Keith Lee, Adam Cole and so many others, Rukus does some truly great work.

And with Forbidden Door less than 24 hours away, AEW has released the official theme for the pay-per-view on Spotify, and it is yet another great song by Rukus called “Achievement Unlocked”, though this time it sounds like he had a little help.

That’s right, this driving, pulse-pounding track described by its composer as “World Beats vs Metal” had assistance from none other than Kenny Omega.

How exactly was Kenny involved? Well, Rukus stated that he offered “an amazing perspective” to the track, so he probably wasn’t playing those 7-string leads or anything, but a good perspective is important in music composition, and at least “The Best Bout Machine” will be involved in Forbidden Door, even if it’s not the way anyone would have expected.

Now all we have to do is wait for Omega’s “Battle Cry” to finally play in arenas once more, at least without it being a prank by Don Callis.
