After having “97.5 percent” of its rights at Forbidden Door, Tony Khan pulled through and Orange Cassidy finally debuted his new theme at AEW‘s Blood and Guts, with “Where is my Mind” by Pixies being officially replaced by “Jane” the song by Jefferson Starship known most notably for being featured in the film Wet Hot American Summer.

For AEW-only fans, this was a nice albeit slightly random surprise, as a song's a song, but to fans who have been keeping up with OC since he was still splitting time between the Colony and the Best Friends, this was an incredible moment of immeasurable excitement, as it's the song Cassidy used to use on the indies.

Goodness, that's like hearing “Cult of Personality” for the first time in a soldout United Center, or “Miseria Cantare: The Beginning” at Revolution, both of which signified big moments in the return of CM Punk both to the ring and to Revolution in a heated feud versus MJF.

This wasn't the first time AEW has thrown an audible on an established wrestler and changed up their music in the middle of a run. FTR notoriously switched out their “Old School Raised” theme for their current music at the behest of Tony Khan to rave reviews, and The Jurassic Express ditched Marko Stunt but added Baltimora's “Tarzan Boy” to an entrance that may not get played much moving forward, considering Luchasaurus betrayed his buddy immediately after OC's match with “All Ego” Ethan Page, but was a successful re-brand nonetheless. Now if only the orange juice Cassidy used to use on the indies made a return… hey that came back too; TK sure knows how to give the people what they want.
