Former NBA player and now BIG3 champion Al Harrington is riding the Stephon Marbury NBA comeback wagon, hoping his fellow former New York Knick can find a way into an NBA roster after playing in China for the latter part of his career.

Asked by TMZ Sports if he thinks Starbury can still play at the age of 40, Harrington thought so.

“Vince Carter's doing it, so why not,” he said while offering his friend was on “tip-top shape.” “Nash did it.”

“I'm trying to get him to sign in the BIG3 though. I think he'll be better served in the BIG3.”

While the two players haven't played together in the Big Apple, Harrington was actually recruiting Marbury to come play in the BIG3 next summer, telling TMZ jokingly that he could see the Brooklynite play in both leagues this upcoming year.

While Marbury wants to give his fans and himself a treat by making a return to the league, the level of competition is a different beast with faster, more athletic players all around.

As Harrington said, his game would be better served for an atmosphere like the BIG3, where his scoring and passing skills can flourish in the half-court game instead of an end-to-end scenario.
