The college football season officially wrapped up on Monday night after the Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide in the CFP National Championship game. With the season over, players have already begun to figure out future plans, with the transfer portal seeing a plethora of activity early on. Well, with Bama's season in the books Nick Saban's squad saw five players submit their names into the transfer portal on Tuesday, per Matt Zenith.

The Crimson Tide players who entered the transfer portal on Tuesday include tight end Jahleel Billingsley, quarterback Paul Tyson, offensive lineman Tommy Brown, and linebackers Drew Sanders and King Mwikuta.

None of the aforementioned guys played a huge role for Bama during the 2021 season and will look to seek greater playing opportunities with other programs.

Of the five players set to exit the program, Billingsley was the most impactful for Alabama this year. The tight end recorded 17 receptions for 256 yards and three touchdown receptions during his junior season in Tuscaloosa. Throughout his three years with the university, the former four-star recruit hauled in 37 receptions for 559 yards and six TDs.

Sanders featured in seven games for Alabama this season, recording 24 tackles and one sack. He's featured in 15 games for the Tide across two seasons.

Tyson, on the other hand, was unable to win out the quarterback job over Bryce Young. Considering Young looks locked in as Bama's quarterback for the foreseeable future, it makes sense that Tyson is seeking new opportunities. In 2021, Tyson appeared in five games, completing 10-of-16 pass attempts on the year for 150 yards and zero touchdowns.
