The Alabama Crimson Tide are taking on the Auburn Tigers. Alabama is currently down 10-0 in the 4th quarter. Alabama did not have a point at halftime, which is the first time since the Iron Bowl in 2000, which they lost 9-0.

If Alabama wants to make the college football playoff then they have to come back and beat this Auburn team. There would be virtually no possibility of them making the final four if they lose to a 6-5 team in the last week of regular-season SEC play.

Even if Alabama was to beat Georgia next week but lose to Auburn, they should still not be in the college football playoffs. That would be two embarrassing losses for this Crimson Tide team as they have already lost to Texas A&M where they gave up 41 points.

It's going to be an interesting few weeks in the college football world. The Ohio State loss could mean that somebody is going to get that fourth spot and it looks like it's going to be a Michigan. If Alabama loses, it could solidify Michigan and Cincinnati's spot in the final four. There's also a possibility a team like Oklahoma State could work their way into the playoffs with an Alabama loss.

There is still plenty of time for Alabama to come back in this game, but them being shut out is the first time that it has happened since 2000. Nick Saban can't be too happy.
