The Miami Dolphins will need an overhaul and upgrade at most positions on the field. One of them is at running back. There is a ton of running back talent in the 2020 NFL Draft class including Alabama's Najee Harris.

Mark Walton leads the Dolphins in rushing this season with 201 yards. Kalen Ballage is second with 135 yards. They traded Kenyan Drake to the Arizona Cardinals in October and they were left with no running back talent or depth. What Miami does have is three first round picks in 2020.

Harris is the next running back in line coming out of Alabama where they seem to produce a professional back every season. He has great size at 6'2 and runs with excellent awareness and effort. Harris has totaled 1,088 yards on the ground with 11 touchdowns. He has also added seven touchdowns through the air.

This was a breakout season for Harris. In 2018, he was behind Josh Jacobs and Damien Harris. He was not able to showcase his full arsenal and he has done just that this season. Harris runs with physicality expected at his size. He does not have burning speed but he is fast enough to get the edge on a defense and go the distance. As far as draft prospects go, Harris is overlooked. When he gets on a professional field, there will be nothing to overlook.

Harris Leads Miami's Overhaul

Miami is in need of it all. They need a new quarterback, a big name receiver, a running back, and an offensive line. With three first round picks, the Dolphins could take great strides in improving their team.

Harris would bring a toughness to the team. Alabama produces elite talent year in and year out. They play the game hard and do not accept it any other way. There is a reason that defenses all over the league have Crimson Tide alum. Not to mention running backs like Mark Ingram, Derrick Henry, Bo Scarborough, and Josh Jacobs.

The best part about Harris is that Miami may not have to use one of their first round picks on Harris. He has been overlooked because of names like D'Andre Swift, Jonathan Taylor, and J.K. Dobbins. Harris is just as good of a prospect as any back in the draft. It is important that the Dolphins figure out their quarterback situation and add a strong left tackle. If they do this and land Harris, their offense will be immensely better heading into 2020.
