Last month, Amar'e Stoudemire signed a one-day deal with the New York Knicks before announcing his retirement from the NBA. This came as somewhat of a surprise to many as some believed he had a lot left in the tank at 33 years old.

After a few days, he shocked the basketball world once again as he decided to bring his talents to Israel and play for his co-owned team, Hapoel Jerusalem.

Basketball reporter David Pick recently tweeted notes from Stoudemire's press conference in Israel. The former 9th pick in the 2002 draft discussed his decision to play overseas and why how he felt he was treated by NBA teams. He also named the best teammates he's had:

The 6-10 power forward-center did not sound too thrilled about only receiving offers from non-contending teams, which ultimately led him to play abroad. Now he has a chance to prove his doubters and show everyone that he can still play at an elite level.

If he plays close to the dominant big man from his days with the Phoenix Suns, maybe he can get interest from a contending team and play for a championship in the NBA once again.
