InnerSloth's smash 2020 hit game Among Us continues to break barriers and records. It wasn't enough that the game captured the attention and excitement of millions of players around the world. The seemingly simple game has won the Best Mobile Game award at The 2020 Game Awards.

It is no doubt thanks to its developer's consistent focus on improving the game and ensuring player satisfaction. Recently, the game received a massive update that improved a lot of features for players. Among Us also took home the Best Multiplayer award beating out several hard-hitting competitors. Triple-A games usually take the spotlight during awards nights but an Indie smash hit taking home the bacon is a welcome change.

Among Us defeated Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Call of Duty: Warzone, Fall Guys, and Valorant in the Best Multiplayer category. It beat out Call of Duty: Mobile, Genshin Impact, Legends of Runeterra, and Pokémon Café Mix for the Best Mobile Game title.

It's truly an exciting time for InnerSloth and gamers all over the world. The Indie studio's one-two victory will definitely serve as an inspiration for many aspiring video game developers from around the world. It's surprising having a simple game about betraying teammates beat fully-fleshed out 3d mobile games.

It speaks to the strength that Among Us has at its core. Fans of the other nominees may have been disappointed but it's a thrilling victory. Among Us found its success during a turbulent time where we all needed a quick escape from the stress. What better way to forget about the ongoing pandemic than by betraying your crewmates? Among Us was the game we all needed and they deserve the win.
