How ironic is it that the guy who guarded Thunder star forward Kevin Durant and helped eliminated his team from the playoffs would find it fun to play along side of him as well.

It has been rumored for months that the Warriors will pursue Durant in free agency, especially with the new salary cap projected to give teams much more maneuvering room.

There is mutual respect between the players, and it would address needs on both sides. For Durant, a championship-caliber team ready to win now, and for the Warriors an upgrade that would make them even more unstoppable.

When Andre Igoudala was asked about his matchup with Durant, he responded to the Mercury News with this:

“He made some really tough shots, which is what I expected. He's a fighter and competitor and fought to the end. It must be fun playing with a guy like that. Unless I'm not playing with him.”

It had to have crossed Igoudala’s mind at least once knowing free agency is soon to come. For starters there is a chance he could be traded to free up cap room for Durant, or possibly a pair of his teammates who are upcoming free agents that have been to battle with him.

For now that’s all conjecture because only Durant knows what Durant will do when the time comes, and for now he says even he doesn’t know. He, understandably, wasn't interested in talking about it in the postgame press conference after Game 7, and likely won't rush into a decision any time soon.
