Andre Iguodala was sorely missed by the Golden State Warriors in their huge come-from-behind victory to take Game 1 against the San Antonio Spurs, 113-111.

Usually tasked to lock down the opponent’s best scorers while also having an elite ability to cover passing lanes, the defensive-minded swingman was limited to only 10 minutes of play as he was being bothered by a sore knee.

Warriors’ interim coach Mike Brown took notice of this, leading to his decision to sit Iguodala for good early in the second quarter.

According to Anthony Slater of The Mercury News, an MRI is scheduled and this puts Andre Iguodala’s status for Game 2 up in the air.

This paints an alarming scenario for Golden State as Iguodala has had his dealings with knee issues in the past. His do-it-all presence goes beyond the statsheet, making him an incredibly vital part of the team’s scheme of things.
