Three-time NBA champion Andre Iguodala has been in the league since 2004. He has seen his role go from the top rookie, the best player on the team, the most important sixth man, and a savvy veteran. Throughout all that, Iggy had his partner by his side. Now, let’s focus on Andre Iguodala’s wife Christina Gutierrez.

Andre Iguodala’s wife Christina Gutierrez

Not a lot is known about Christina Gutierrez as she has almost zero footprints in social media, which is rare nowadays.

However, it is well-known that Andre and Christina are childhood sweethearts and they went to the same high school in Springfield, Illinois.

Prior to tying the knot, Andre Iguodala and Christina Gutierrez welcomed their firstborn on March 24, 2007, named Andre Tyler Iguodala II. Iguodala was still with the Philadelphia 76ers at the time, establishing himself as one of the premier scorers in the NBA. Sure enough, the birth of his son motivated him to play better.

Iguodala’s second kid, however, is with a different woman by the name of Clayanna Warthen. Her daughter, London, was born on May 7, 2009. It is unclear what the situation is between Andre and Christina during this time, but it was settled that London will settle with her father and his wife, Christina.

It has been established that the couple has been successful in keeping their personal life perfectly private. But in an interview in 2014 with Haute Living, Andre Iguodala referred to Christina Gutierrez as her “fiance”.

After Iguodala won his first-ever NBA championship and was awarded the NBA Finals MVP for their title, he and his then-fiancé shared their vows in August 2015 in a peaceful ceremony at One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico. The best man at Christina and Iggy’s wedding is none other than their son, Andre Tyler Iguodala II who sported the same type of tuxedo that his father wore.

Their wedding was attended by a number of close friends and family, including Iguodala’s Golden State Warriors teammates Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Festus Ezeli, and Harrison Barnes. There was also a number of good friends from the NBA like Kent Bazemore, Evan Turner, Jermaine O’Neal, and Rudy Gay.

Despite being a private couple, their resilience ever since they were young shows that they really are compatible — and that goes a long way in any relationship.

And even with the reported affairs that they encountered as a couple, Christina Gutierrez and Andre Iguodala persevered and they are now living a happy and healthy life with their two beautiful children.

Andre Iguodala surely has a few more years left in his tank as he signed a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors which brings his family back to the Bay.

“I think I’ve got some more time left,” Iguodala said, per The New York Times. “Where I’m comfortable at is I can decide when I’m ready to go. I think I want to leave with just a little bit left. I don’t want to go out on one leg. I know I’ve got a few more years. It’s just my decision whether it’s one or two or three or whatever it may be. I shouldn’t even say three. One or two.”

Iguodala’s decision to play for a few more years will surely be supported by Christina Gutierrez and their children, Andre and London.

Now you know more about Christina Gutierrez. What did you think about her and her lovely relationship with Andre Iguodala throughout the years?
