Jimmy Butler has requested a trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves and Andrew Wiggins' brother, Nick Wiggins, didn't take long to express his joy about the news.

Butler is reportedly uncertain about playing with Wiggins and had issues with Wiggins' work ethic and approach on defense last season. Needless to say, Nick Wiggins isn't going to miss Butler one bit.

The Timberwolves acquired Butler last summer from the Chicago Bulls on draft night. In 59 games last season, Butler averaged 22.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. The swingman shot 47.4 percent from the field and 35.0 percent from beyond the arc.

Butler suffered a torn right meniscus in late February and underwent surgery. He did return near the end of the season, though, and helped the Timberwolves make the playoffs for the first time in 14 years. Minnesota lost to the Houston Rockets in the first round in five games.

The four-time All-Star turned down the Timberwolves’ four-year, $110 million extension offer in July. Butler is slated to make $18.7 million this season and has a player option for the 2019-20 season. More money is available to Butler if he plays out his contract and enters the open market in 2019.

Butler is not an easy guy to get along with. When he was with the Bulls, he had documented beefs with Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah. During the 2015-16 season, Noah and Butler engaged in several heated disagreements and had to be seperated many times in the locker room.

A few years ago, former NBA player Antoine Walker called Butler a “bad locker room guy.

No one doubts Butler's talent. He's one of the best two-way players in the game. However, Butler is always pointing the finger at someone else for the team's failures and that rubs guys in the league the wrong way. If he's the superstar player he claims to be, Jimmy Butler needs to be more accountable and display better leadership qualities.
