Anthony Davis was the No. 1 overall pick of the 2012 draft. Since then, The Brow has made $121,617,548 in NBA contracts, per Spotrac, and that output is only going to increase once Davis signs his next contract whenever the 2020 offseason begins.

After getting drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans out of Kentucky, Davis signed a two-year, $10.5 million rookie deal. He averaged 13.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks during his rookie season.

However, Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard won the Rookie of the Year Award.

In his second season, Anthony Davis made $5,375,760 while averaging 20.8 points, 10.0 boards and 2.8 blocks. AD made his first All-Star team and was setting himself up for a nice rookie-scale extension with the Pelicans.

In the summer of 2015, Davis signed a lucrative five-year, $127.2 million maximum rookie extension with New Orleans. He was establishing himself as the best big man in the game and his agents definitely made sure Davis was getting taken care of financially.

During the 2016-17 season, Anthony Davis made $22,116,750. The Chicago native put up a stat line of 28.0 points, 11.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks, so clearly Davis' newfound money wasn't affecting his play on the court.

In 2017-18, the Pelicans finally won a playoff series with Davis. New Orleans swept the Blazers in the first round of the 2018 playoffs and AD was a monster. He got his revenge on Lillard for Dame stealing that Rookie of the Year Award from him. During that magical season, Davis made $23,775,506.

The Pelicans chose not to re-sign DeMarcus Cousins in the summer of 2018. Anthony Davis made $25,434,263 during the 2018-19 season but the team wasn't able to replicate the success it had in the previous year.

Davis ended up changing the NBA landscape by requesting a trade. The Pelicans didn't move him before the 2019 trade deadline, though, so the second half of the season was awkward since Davis was still on the team despite his trade request being active.

New Orleans wound up trading Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers, giving LeBron James the second superstar he needed to compete in the West. Before the 2019-20 season was suspended due to COVID-19, the Lakers had the best record in the West thanks to the stellar play of LeBron and AD.

Davis will decline his 2020-21 player option with the Lakers worth $28,751,775 and enter unrestricted free agency. However, he is expected to sign a long-term extension with Los Angeles. Davis loves playing for the Lakers and having LeBron as a teammate.

Anthony Davis has career averages of 24.0 points and 10.4 rebounds. He was putting up 26.7 points and 9.4 boards per game for the Lakers before the 2019-20 season was put to a halt. AD was making $27,093,019.
