Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence is launching soon and fans are getting more excited each passing day. To sum up what’s to come in Emergence: a new legend named Seer, some map changes for World’s Edge, and the introduction of ranked in Arenas mode. However, we’re pretty sure most of you want to know more details about Season 10. Don’t worry, we got you guys covered.

Apex Legends‘ new character Seer’s Abilities

You might already know if you're keeping up with the news, but the new legend coming to Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence is Seer. He was born a cursed child with daunting capabilities. Seer’s abilities track down opponents, very much like Bloodhound. However, he does his tracking quite differently compared to the Technological Tracker.

Here’s a breakdown of Seer’s kit:

  • Passive Ability – When aiming down sights, Seer has a heartbeat sensor that hints at where enemies might be.
  • Tactical Ability – Seer will send out microdrones from his chest to reveal the enemy’s location.
  • Ultimate Ability – Seer deploys a swarm of microdrones to create a sphere wherein enemies moving inside it will reveal their location along with their footsteps.

World’s Edge Decimated

Hammond Robotics has always been in need of natural resources. The company would continuously mine Talos which is a huge contributing factor as to why Apex Legends‘ World’s Edge will experience its decimation. If you’ve noticed, Harvester has an enormous lava crack that gets bigger reaching both ends of the map.

Thanks to these unfortunate events, we’ll be saying goodbye to some POIs. However, we’ll also get to witness the birth of new POIs. A giant sinkhole has formed on Apex Legends map which leads to Sorting Factory’s obliteration. The new POI called Lava Syphon will replace Sorting Factory. Then we have the Train Yard that gets totally buried due to a landslide caused by the chaotic occurrence. Because of that, the POI is now known as Landslide. Refinery has also met its doom.  Replacing it will be a slightly larger POI called Climatizer.

Apex Legends Arenas Mode introduces Ranked

Respawn Entertainment introduced the brand new Arenas mode to Apex Legends during the current Season, Legacy. This mode is heavily inspired by VALORANT and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Arenas mode revolves around team coordination and strategical gunfights. The newly introduced mode gave Apex Legends a different kind of competitiveness. In the Battle Royale mode, even though coordination is still involved, it focuses more on survival and run & gun gameplay. Meanwhile, in Arenas mode, players have to rely more on positioning and strategizing how to engage their enemies.

Some say Arenas mode is more intense compared to the Battle Royale mode. Guess what? Arenas just got more intense with the upcoming ranked mode. As of the moment, we aren’t entirely sure how the ranking system will work for Apex Legends‘ Arenas Ranked. However, we have a feeling that the ranking system could turn out to be similar to VALORANT’s or CS: GO’s with medals or ranks and hidden MMR scores.

The Rampage LMG joins the fray

Looks like Spitfire users have a new toy to play with. The Rampage LMG is a heavy-ammo weapon that’ll be one of the ground loot come Apex Legends Season 10. Compared to the Spitfire, the Rampage has a much lower fire rate but deals more damage. The new weapon is perfect for mid-range combat. Also, the Rampage works similarly to the Sentinel in terms of charging the weapon.

Instead of using shield cells, players need to gather Thermite Grenades in order to charge the LMG. Once the Rampage has charged up, the fire rate will increase turning into a threat in close-range combats. Not only that, but the fully charged LMG will also become explosive giving it the ability to shoot down doors.

Weapon and Hop-Up changes

Throughout the entirety of Apex Legends, Respawn has constantly changed the ground loot’s rotation. We’ve seen some weapons become Care Package items, and we’ve also seen some hop-ups come and go alongside the birth of new hop-ups.

For Apex Legends Season 10, the Prowler will once again join the ground loot. Sad to say, players can no longer switch the weapon’s burst mode to auto-fire. Good news though, at last, players can now buy the Prowler in Arenas mode.

Joining the Care Package loot will be the Spitfire and the Alternator. This is both exciting and horrifying at the same time. The Spitfire will revert o its pre-nerfed form while the Alternator will automatically be equipped with the Disruptor Rounds hop-up. If you’ve been playing Apex Legends ever since Season 2, you know how much of a beast these two weapons were. The Disruptor Rounds was a deadly threat because it could instantly break shields no matter what level you had equipped. Because the Spitfire and the Alternator are now Care Package weapons, they will no longer be purchasable in Arenas mode.

A couple of beloved hop-ups will no longer be in Emergence, these are the Anvil Receiver and Quick Draw. Technically the Quick Draw hop-up still exists, but this time the hop-up is automatically integrated into pistols.  Too bad for Flatline and R-301 users, gone are the days when you can deal extra damage in gunfights with those weapons. However, it isn’t all too bad since the base form of those specific ARs are still very much reliable.

A new hop-up coming to Apex Legends and it’s called the Boosted Loader. This hop-up will be for the Hemlock and the Wingman, allowing these weapons to reload faster and gain bonus ammo.

The L-STAR will also get significant changes in the coming season. Apex Legends Players can now equip barrel stabilizers and energy mags to the LMG. Also, if your L-STAR has a higher-level energy mag, it’ll take longer for the weapon to overheat and faster for it to cool down.

Legends Buffs and Nerfs

Here’s a list of legends who’ll either be buffed or nerfed come Apex Legends Season 10 – Emergence:

  • Caustic (Buff) – Previously, Caustic’s gas only dealt five damage per second. Now, the damage taken from his gas will increase per second starting at five damage. The gas cloud from Caustic’s Nox Gas Grenade will disappear five seconds sooner.
  • Revenant (Nerf) – Enemies are now notified audibly and visually when the death protection is about to run out.
  • Horizon (Buff) – She once again has the ability to maneuver in mid-air on her Gravity lift.
  • Fuse (Buff) – His Knuckle Cluster ability will last twice as long. Enemies caught in the motherlode will be highlighted.

Surely there were a lot of bitter-sweet moments while reading this article. But, shaking things up every season is Respawn’s way of keeping the game fresh. At the end of the day, players find ways to work around these updates to their advantage. Are you excited about the upcoming season? Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence will launch on August 3, 2021.
