Just days after season 11 launched, Apex Legends has already shipped out a bunch of nerfs and buffs for different weapons to ensure the balance of the game. While players have been calling for nerfs to the newest legend, Ash, Respawn developers also saw the opportunity to fine-tune some of the guns. Here's a rundown of all the changes to in particular, Triple Take, EVA-8, and G7 Scout.

Triple Take may arguably be the best gun in the game, especially with the new Storm Point on Apex Escape. Given the sheer size of the map, long sightlines enable long-range weapons like Triple Take to be extremely viable. The gun also sports a rather fast firing rate. Moreover, the spray of bullets makes (poor) aiming a little less unforgiving. Because of this, Triple Take has rapidly become one of the best choices to take on Storm Point.

But now, Respawn developers have decreased Triple Take's headshot multiplier from 2.0 to 1.5. While the nerf is not a drastic change, it should have a discernible effect for the players. The intent is to make Triple Take less of an obvious choice among the Marksman class of weapons, and make other alternatives more viable.

Another weapon that received nerfs is the EVA-8. With the new season's launch, the gun already got hit with a reduced fire rate. Even then, EVA-8 had been performing well, especially in comparison to other shotguns. This time, developers changed EVA's per pellet damage, bringing it down from 7 to 6.

“It's (EVA's) much more forgiving than Mastiff and Peacekeeper, and the damage differential doesn't seem as wide as it should be when considering the others,” explained John Larson from Apex‘s balance team.

Meanwhile, the G7 Scout got a bit of a buff, now containing more bullets. Scout tends to work best when players are able to spam it. However, its limited ammunition supply had been a huge hindering factor. Players found themselves running out of ammo quickly in the early and mid-game, making the G7 Scout just not all that viable.

As a mid to long-range suppressor, Scout has now received a boost to its ammo reserves, expanding to 140. Moreover, the headshot multiplier effect has also risen to 2. This could potentially feel more rewarding for players who use the gun.

While none of these nerfs and buffs are particularly massive, these weapon changes will definitely offer some quality-of-life benefits to the game, making the Apex Legends season 11 experience run all the smoother.
