The Arizona State Sun Devils have made some real headway on the recruiting trail. 4-star guard Luguentz Dort, who is a member of the 2018 recruiting class, has committed to the university.

Maybe it pays to not be named in any of the FBI's current probing of college basketball. I kid … but only kind of.

Anyway, this the second commitment for Arizona State in the Class of 2018 in less than a week.

Luguentz Dort, per social media era laws, made his announcement on the mean streets of Twitter:

The 6-foot-3 Dort is considered a big-time athlete on the perimeter. He selected the Sun Devils over his other finalists of Baylor and Oregon. For what it is worth, which is not much to the other programs at the moment, Dort took official visits to all three schools during the process.

“This decision was hard,” Dort said in a video that aired during a “Midnight Madness” event at the Athlete Institute Basketball Academy in Canada, where he will spend his senior season. “I want to thank all the coaches who recruited and believed in me. I would like to thank God and my family for supporting me. My coaches and teammates for pushing me every day.

“With that being said, I'd like to announce that I'm committing to Arizona State. Forks up.”

One of the better shooting guards in the 2018 class, Dort is a physically-imposing guard who should be ready to immediately contribute in the Pac-12.

Dort joins Finnish shooting guard Elias Valtonen in the Arizona State Class of 2018 recruiting haul. It is early, but it is shaping up to be a nice class for Arizona State.
