Aston Villa is doing everything possible to keep superstar Jack Grealish at the club amid Man City's interest in their main man. According to the Telegraph, the Lions are prepared to offer the England international a £150,000-a-week deal, which would increase his current £100 million price tag.

Jack Grealish has a contract with Villa that won't run out until 2025 but Dean Smith's side is desperate to keep the playmaker. He has voiced an interest in playing for a bigger club and competing for trophies, with Pep Guardiola and City very keen on his services as they look to bolster their attack.

Grealish recently talked to the press about his desire to compete at the highest level in Europe.

“My ultimate goal? It's got to be a trophy hasn't it. I want to win either the Champions League or a major trophy with England, the Euros or the World Cup.”

“Obviously, the World Cup would be iconic wouldn't it? But I think the Euros is just as good. And then at club level, to win a Champions League.”

Jack Grealish is coming off an unforgettable performance as a substitute for the Three Lions on Tuesday against Germany. He immediately injected life into Gareth Southgate's attack by playing a key part in the build-up of the first goal while swinging in a perfect cross to Harry Kane for the second tally of the night.

Now, England prepares for a quarterfinal clash with a young Ukraine side who shocked Sweden. As for the future of Jack Grealish at Aston Villa, it does seem inevitable that he will eventually leave his boyhood club in pursuit of Champions League glory because unfortunately, it's just not a reality at Villa Park.
