Superstar shortstop Carlos Correa is one of the best free agents left on the market and it's already believed he will likely leave the Houston Astros and sign with another team. Well, the Puerto Rico native all but confirmed that belief, selling his $1.6 million mansion in the city ahead of his departure, per TMZ Sports.

There is no doubt Astros fans would've been clinging on to the hope that Correa could remain with the organization after so many years of brilliance. But, once he hired super-agent Scott Boras to represent him, it was essentially game over. That was the first sign Correa is looking to get paid a bag of money.

There has been no shortage of interest in him, with the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs particularly keen. The Bronx Bombers have a gaping hole at shortstop, although their top prospect, Anthony Volpe, profiles to be the future at the position. However, he's just 20.

As for the Cubbies, they're believed to be the favorite for the former Astros star, but they did make a SS move of their own on Friday by signing four-time Gold Glover Andrelton Simmons to a one-year deal. But, Chicago is still expected to be in the mix for Correa.

With the lockout now done, free agency is going to get very, very busy and it shouldn't be long until Correa lands on a new team.
