The Houston Astros celebrated their World Series victory on Monday. The team parade drew no shortage of fans as Houston celebrated its first championship since 2017. Astros fans and players, including star Alex Bregman, trolled fans of both the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies, per the Houston Astros Twitter account.

The fans can be heard chanting, “we want Houston!” The Astros steamrolled their way to a World Series win after fans of opposing teams partook in that same chant throughout the postseason. The Houston fan base ended up embracing it and is now using the Parade as an opportunity to mock Yankees and Phillies fans.

The Astros enjoyed a spectacular year overall. They finished the regular season with the best American League record. Houston went on to win 7 consecutive playoff games between the ALDS and ALCS. The Phillies gave them a bit of trouble in the World Series, but the Astros ultimately earned the Fall Classic victory in 6 games.

Alex Bregman played a pivotal role for both the 2017 and 2022 World Series winning teams in Houston. As for manager Dusty Baker, the win was his first World Series championship of his career. Baker was already going to be remembered as a coaching legend, but this only cements his legacy even further.

The Astros are developing a young core of players to compliment their veteran superstars such as Bregman. They are expecting to run it back in 2023 while making another World Series bid.

But for now, they will enjoy the party in Houston.
