The continuation to Sophie's adventures, and the second game in the Mysterious series, Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream releases soon. The game is now available on PlayStation 4, Windows, and Nintendo Switch.
Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream once again follows Sophie as her beloved companion Plachta disappears. In her journey, she leaves her hometown of Kirchen Bell and is chucked into an all new world. Players will meet a new character one after the other, but also reminding Sophie the Alchemist of various people in her life. In this new world, Sophie attempts to search for Plachta, with the aid of her newfound friends.
The prequel to this game, Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book, was initially released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Windows on June 2016, with an enhanced version as well as a Nintendo Switch port being released on April 2021. This 2022 release is slated to be the twenty-third game in the Atelier series, meant to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
