Twitter has been one of the most popular social media platforms that fans have been using the past few years to keep in touch with their favorite players and teams. The official accounts return the favor for being followed by engaging them in some Q&As and even having some promotions from time to time.

For the Atlanta Hawks' social media team, they thought of a way to entice their fans to join their “contest” recently, as they offered to give them a follow if they'll be able to guess who the team will go up against in their first game of the season.

Currently, the Hawks' account has followed over 15,200 accounts, but that number is expected to increase once their official schedule will be announced. The number of follow backs will also depend on how many will be able to guess it right, as there are 29 different choices to make.

After trading Dwight Howard and allowing Paul Millsap to walk this summer, the Hawks are being considered as a team that will go through a rebuilding stage, and will look into adding younger players to be part of their future. However, they still have the likes of Dennis Schroder, Kent Bazemore and Marco Belinelli to give them a competitive lineup, and although it may seem like a long shot for them to still have a winning record, stranger things have happened in the NBA, and the team could still surprise a lot of people if they'll be able to string a few wins together at the start of the season.
