Bo Nix is taking his talents somewhere else. That's after he announced on Instagram that he is transferring from the Auburn Tigers football program.

“This decision has been the toughest I have ever made. I have made so many decisions for Auburn, and now it’s time to do what’s best for me. It’s time that I move on to the next chapter in my life. To reach further goals, I’ve decided it’s best to be a grad transfer and find a new start somewhere else. I make this decision with a heavy heart and a lot of growing pain.”

This is a shocking announcement from Nix, to say the least. For one, Auburn is still in the middle of its preparation for a bowl game appearance against the Houston Cougars on Dec. 28 at the Ticketmaster Birmingham Bowl.

Nix had been the starting quarterback of Auburn in each of the last three years. In 2021, he managed to collect a total of 2,294 passing yards and 11 touchdowns with three interceptions and a pass completion rate of 61.0 percent.

Although Auburn never managed to reach the College Football Playoff in any of Nix's seasons with the Tigers,  he ends his career with them as the program's third overall in all-time passing yards (7,251).
