There's no doubt that this season hasn't gone as planned for the Cleveland Browns and Baker Mayfield. The Denver Broncos know Mayfield is in the center of attention for all of the wrong reasons, and that his play on the field hasn't been up to par with what he did in 2018.

The Oklahoma product broke the NFL all-time record for passing touchdowns for a rookie with 27 last year. Through the first eight weeks of the 2019 season, Mayfield has only combined for 1,690 yards, six touchdowns, and a league-high 12 interceptions.

Nevertheless, the second-year quarterback will get a chance to get back on track against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Here are three bold predictions for the Browns' quarterback versus the Broncos in Week 9.

3. Mayfield won't turn the ball over

There's a decent chance that when not turning the ball over is a bold prediction; your season isn't going in the direction you anticipated it to. But here we are, saying that Mayfield won't give the ball to the Broncos on Sunday.

In Mayfield's first seven starts this season, he has thrown an interception in every single game. On top of that, he has also lost three fumbles under center.

The Broncos have only forced seven takeaways (tied for 28th in the NFL) and five of them have been interceptions. For the first time in 2019, Mayfield will play a clean game and avoid turning the ball over in Week 9.

2. Mayfield will throw three touchdowns

Before the season began, Cleveland had heightened expectations when they acquired Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants. Due to their struggles at the midway point of the season, the pressure to win is rising even higher for the Browns.

Over the course of the regular season, Mayfield has failed to throw for more than one touchdown in any game. Of course, with that being said, he's thrown a touchdown in six out of his seven starts (had zero against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5).

On Sunday, Cleveland's franchise quarterback will complete three touchdowns to prevail over the Broncos. This game could be a perfect opportunity for Mayfield to get back into the win column.

1. Mayfield will throw for 300 yards

The Browns only have two wins in their first seven games, but both of them have come when Mayfield throws for over 300 yards. Provided that, Mayfield will have his third outing of 300 passing yards in Week 9.

Even with Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry at wide receiver, yards haven't been easy to come by for the young signal-caller. If you remove Mayfield's two 300-yard performances, he would only have 1,023 passing yards on the season (204.6 yards per game).

On the other side, Denver has yet to allow a quarterback to throw for 300 or more yards in 2019. Furthermore, they've actually gone three straight weeks of holding quarterbacks to under 200 yards. Nevertheless, Mayfield will end their streak on Sunday.
