He's listed a bit all over the place as his endorsements are starting to grow. That being said, thanks to a baseline rookie salary, we know Baker Mayfield's net worth in 2021 is (roughly) $12 million.

Even though he’s had some erratic play so far, quarterback Baker Mayfield will play an important role for Cleveland moving forward, especially as he gains experience.

The signal-caller had one of his best games with Cleveland, making 22 of 28 passes, including a franchise record 21 straight completions, for 297 yards and five touchdowns in a 37-34 comeback win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Mayfield is finally meeting the enormous expectations that he has carried since the Browns selected him with the first overall pick out of Oklahoma in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Aside from realizing his potential, leading the Browns to a playoff appearance will also go a long way in making sure that the former Heisman Trophy winner will be the team’s quarterback for the long haul and secure a new contract after his rookie deal expires at the end of next season.

Mayfield signed a four-year, $32 million guaranteed deal with Cleveland after he was drafted and has received around $24.3 million of it heading into the 2020-2021 season. The former first overall pick currently has a net worth of $12 million, but that number is set to increase with two years still left on his contract. Mayfield’s earnings have mostly come from his salary with the Browns, but he has also made a considerable amount in endorsements. The quarterback is still set to receive $10.5 million next season in the final year of his deal, which, coupled with the Cleveland’s success, could further boost his earnings and net worth.

Mayfield’s potential earnings next season is almost double the amount that he earned as a rookie, when he made $5.9 million. He made his NFL debut in a Week 3 game against the New York Jets, replacing Tyrod Taylor and helping the Browns overcome an early 14-0 to win, 21-17, becoming the first quarterback since Fran Tarkenton to come off the bench in his debut, pass for more than 200 yards and lead his team to victory.

In Week 16, he was named as the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after helping Cleveland to a 26-18 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He helped the Browns finish with a 7-8-1 record, which marks the team’s most wins in a season since 2014. He finished the season by completing 310 of his 486 passes (63.8% completion percentage) for 3,725 yards, including 27 touchdowns and 14 interceptions, passing Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson for most passing touchdowns as a rookie.

After a solid rookie season, Mayfield and the Browns entered the season with playoff aspirations. But the quarterback and the team largely underwhelmed under former offensive coordinator turned head coach Freddie Kitchens, finishing with a 6-10 record and failing to improve on last season despite adding Beckham in an offseason trade. In his sophomore season, Mayfield became the field Browns quarterback to start all 16 games since Tim Couch in 2001.

Despite playing in three more games, however, his numbers regressed from his rookie season, as Mayfield finished the season by completing 317 of 534 passes (59.4% completion percentage) for 3,827 yards, including 22 touchdowns and 21 interceptions.

But their winning streak ended at the hands of the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers, which beat them 38-7, with Mayfield making 10 of 18 passes for 119 yards and one touchdown and two interceptions while being sacked four times. He was bothered by a rib injury from their previous win against the Colts and was replaced by backup quarterback Case Keenum.

But after the stinging setback against Pittsburgh and the slow start against Cincinnati, where he had an interception and five incompletions to start the game, Mayfield bounced back by playing one of his best games and leading the Browns to a thrilling win. This included making the game-winning touchdown pass to rookie Donovan Peoples-Jones with 11 seconds left in the fourth quarter that sealed the win.

The most previous season was a bit of a mixed bag in terms of true potential versus what happened, but not all of it was the gunslinger's fault. Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns had to deal with a rash of injuries. Despite all of that, they still finished the regular season 11-5 and made it to the playoffs. This bodes well for the franchise, as a healthier team should mean big things are on the way.

Nonetheless, were you at al stunned by Baker Mayfield's net worth in 2021?
