The Baltimore Ravens are one of the best teams in the NFL, but that doesn't mean they don't have some areas where they could add some players to improve. Right now, the Ravens are focused on their playoff run, but pretty soon they will need to start looking ahead and trying to improve their team for next season.

Let's break down three major needs for the Ravens heading into the 2020 season.

3. Linebacker

The linebackers for the Ravens this season have been strong, but there could still be upgrades at that position being made. Matthew Judon, Patrick Onwuasor, Josh Bynes, and Jaylon Ferguson are all good, but how good would a star linebacker look on the Ravens' defense.

The Ravens defense is giving up only 17.6 points per game, which is third in football, so there isn't a whole lot of room for important, but on defense adding another dynamic linebacker would be a big help.

2. The Ravens Need Another Wide Receiver

Marquise Brown was a great draft pick by the Ravens, but a team can never have enough playmakers, and the team could use one more. Spending a high draft pick probably won't be the route to go, but there are plenty of quality wide receivers in free agency the team could go after.

Robby Anderson, Devin Funchess, Emmanual Sanders, or Randall Cobb all would look really good for the Ravens. The more playmakers that need to be covered outside, the bigger the running lanes are going to be for Jackson.

1. Backup Quarterback

Robert Griffin III is still under contract for the 2020 season, but it's unclear if the team wants to bring him back for next season. He has done a good job of being the backup, but if the team wants to move on from him, there is only $500,000 in dead cap space.

If the team decides to go in a different direction, they need to bring someone in who can run the same system as Lamar Jackson. It makes no sense to bring in a quarterback to be the backup that isn't mobile.

One guy who could make a lot of sense is Marcus Mariota. He is a mobile quarterback and can also sling the rock. Hopefully, the team won't have to use the backup quarterback, but if Jackson does get hurt, they need a good one on board. If they don't, if Jackson goes down with an injury it will be a lost season.
