A lot of NBA rookies, especially those picked in the lottery, are burdened with the high hopes and expectations of the team that drafted them.

However, not a lot of those rookies actually meet the hype that comes with being a lottery pick. Some of them succumb to the pressure of having to carry a franchise or playing the role of the team's star.

For the Miami Heat's latest lottery pick, Bam Adebayo, it looks like he's preparing for a back-up career as early as now in case his NBA career doesn't pan out as he would've wanted it to.

Based on a video posted by Panini during the basketball rookie card shoot, the 14th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft was seen taking an unorthodox shot at the free throw line that quite resembled a long snap in football:

It is highly unlikely that the former Kentucky Wildcat would shoot his free throws this way in an actual NBA game or he'd risk being the target of several internet memes. However, if he does decide to shoot his free throws using this unconventional way, he better hope that some NFL scouts are watching him play in case he ends up losing his job.
