Arsenal outcast Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has landed in Barcelona on transfer deadline day with the hopes of securing a loan move with the LaLiga giants. However, there are some massive roadblocks ahead in order to make this a reality.

The Catalans are trying to include Ousmane Dembele in a possible swap deal with the Gunners, but he's reportedly not interested. If they can offload him, Aubameyang will be forced to take a huge cut in his salary given Barcelona's financial woes.

Via Fabrizio Romano:

The fact that Auba is actually in the city means it's definitely a possibility he joins the club. But, Barca is still looking to offload more players in order to actually register new signings. They already dealt with that problem when Ferran Torres made the switch from Manchester City.

Aubameyang has fallen out of favor at the Emirates and was even stripped of his captaincy by Mikel Arteta last month. He was recently at the Africa Cup of Nations with Gabon but had to return early due to heart lesions.

A Saudi Arabian club offered Aubameyang a way out, but he wasn't interested in a loan move. Barcelona is evidently a lot more appealing to the veteran frontman and offers a fresh start with a young squad. But, it all comes down to his willingness to take a reduced pay while Barca aims to sell another player in a hurry.
