Barcelona has a tall task ahead in the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie with PSG, but Lionel Messi is certainly helping their case.

After Barca conceded early in the first half and trailed 5-1 on aggregate, the Argentinian unleashed an absolute rocket from well outside the 18-yard box just past the outstretched fingers of PSG keeper Keylor Navas.

After the equalizer, Lionel Messi had another chance to bring Barca even closer in the tie from the penalty spot. This time though, Navas got revenge, making a tremendous save just before the halftime whistle which knocked off his hands then hit the crossbar.

The La Liga giants face an uphill battle with just 45 minutes left, currently needing three more goals to give themselves any chance at advancing to the last eight. The reverse fixture saw Kylian Mbappe bag a hat-trick against the Spaniards en route to a 4-1 victory for the Ligue 1 outfit.

Barca has progressed to the quarterfinals in 13 straight years, so this would certainly be a first if they can't make a miraculous comeback. More magic from Lionel Messi will certainly be needed as they enter the second period looking to try and put numerous goals past PSG.
