DICE officially unveiled Battlefield 2042 with the official reveal trailer over their social media channels. Some speculations have finally been confirmed, with some information confirmed to not be true. There is also some shocking new information, such as the fact that the new game will ditch single-player mode entirely.
In spite of the many leaks and rumors surrounding the game prior to today, DICE and EA still had a lot of cards up their sleeves. This helped maintain the game's hype, as new information still arrived after the official reveal. Battlefield 2042 will come earlier than the expected Holiday 2021 release. The game will come out on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 4, and the PlayStation 5 on October 22, 2021.
