A new Battlefield 6 rumor indicates Battlefield 6 Battle Royale is coming.

BATTLEFIELD 6 RUMOR MILL SUGGESTS BATTLEFIELD 6 BATTLE ROYALE MODE

Tom Henderson, a gaming industry insider, returns with yet another rumor with regards to Battlefield 6. He points out that part of Battlefield 6 is currently being developed by Criterion Games, the same guys responsible for the Battlefield 5 Firestorm game mode. This insinuates that Battlefield 6 Battle Royale mode is in the works, too. Whether or not it's also going to be called Firestorm, we don't know yet.

With news that Electronic Arts (EA) delayed its next release of Need for Speed, rumors sprouted immediately. EA previously assigned Criterion Games for the Need for Speed game. However, EA delayed the Need for Speed game and assigned them as a support developer for Battlefield 6. Based on history, Criterion Games also worked on Battlefield 5‘s Firestorm game mode, which was its own Battle Royale game mode. Henderson suggests that this is indicative of a Battlefield 6 BR mode as well, if not a complete port of the Firestorm game mode.

This won't be the first time that Henderson released rumors on Battlefield 6 development. He previously talked about how Battlefield 6 Battle Royale mode will feature 128+ players, among other things.

Unlike Call of Duty, we don't really get a new Battlefield game as often. Hence, any news about Battlefield 6 will always have a lot of attention. This is especially since EA has been particularly silent about Battlefield 6. All we know is that Battlefield 6 will possibly release late in 2021. It will also be released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, with regards to a Battlefield 6 game mode, we don't have any confirmation so far.

Meanwhile, Call of Duty Warzone continues to be a massive success. Hence, a Battlefield 6 BR mode may just as well be on the sights for EA.
