Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson has not been shy about expressing his expectations for the 2019 NFL season. He is hoping that same mentality will rub off on the other wideouts in his group.

Despite a couple of down years, Robinson is still in the prime of his career. According to Nathan Smith of the team's official website, his goal to be the best receiver in the league has not changed.

“For me, it is a lead-by-example,” said Robinson. “At the end of the day, I want to be the best receiver in this league. That's never not been my goal. So each and every day I come out there and try to put in the work to do that.”

It is encouraging to see that Robinson is not only trying to get the best out of himself but his teammates as well. His approach will go a long way for the Bears as they hope to build on their resurgence from last year.

Chicago has put an emphasis on shoring up the firepower around quarterback Mitchell Trubisky in recent years. Robinson was among their notable signings last offseason after coming off a torn ACL while serving as the No. 1 option in the Jacksonville Jaguars passing game. The former Pro Bowler finished the 2018 campaign with 55 catches for 754 yards and four touchdowns.

Despite his modest production, there is good reason to be optimistic. The emergence of quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and wide receiver Taylor Gabriel should provide with enough chances for a bigger year in 2019.
