The Chicago Bears are fairly confident in their receiving corps heading into the 2019 season. Their confidence could falter if Anthony Miller's injury proves to keep him out an extended period of time.

Per Jeff Dickerson of ESPN, Miller injured his right ankle/foot area Saturday after landing awkwardly in practice. The young wideout was going through one-on-one drills against Kyle Fuller when he went up to catch a contested pass but didn't land normally.

Fortunately, Miller was able to make his way to the locker room under his own power. Head coach, Matt Nagy, didn't see the injury but doesn't believe it is anything worth worrying about.

“I didn't see it; I missed it,” Nagy said. “I'll have to go back and watch it. They [the medical staff] said he rolled it or something. I think he rolled it. We'll see. He'll be alright. I hope so at least. We'll see how tough he is.”

In 2018, a dislocated shoulder early in the season prevented Miller from having the rookie season he envisioned of having. Despite the injury though, Miller did flash some upside as the team's third receiver.

Miller suited up in 15 games in 2018 and was able to catch 33 receptions for 423 yards and seven touchdowns. Miller's seven touchdowns were the second-most among rookie wide receivers, only behind Calvin Ridley of the Atlanta Falcons.

This year, the Bears offense is hoping to make strides forward in Nagy's second season as the head coach. Under Nagy, Chicago is fond of throwing the ball with Mitch Trubisky under center.

However, the Bears are hoping to get one of their weapons in Miller back before they kick off the 2019 season against the Green Bay Packers on September 5th.
